Time is Important – Seek legal advice as soon as possible
If you have been diagnosed with a disease or illness which may be related to your exposure to asbestos then contact us as soon as possible. Time limits start to run as soon as you have been told of your disease and you then have three years from that date to make your claim.
In the event of death caused by exposure to asbestos, relatives will have three years from the date of death in which to pursue a claim. If a claim has already been made prior to death the 3 year time limit will start again from the date of death.
Any delay in seeking early professional advice and representation could mean losing out on benefits and compensation.
Choose the right Solicitor
It is in your interest to select a solicitor who is experienced in asbestos related claims as they have the expertise in handling these often complicated cases.
Macks Solicitors have considerable experience in handling asbestos related compensation claims and have, over the years, won compensation worth millions of pounds for clients suffering from an asbestos related disease.
What will happen then?
Your solicitor will investigate any relevant history to support the claim of exposure to asbestos as well as the circumstances. An assessment will be made from examination of your medical history and with the help of suitably qualified experts as to whether your condition has been caused or contributed to by your exposure to asbestos.
It is then necessary to identify and establish who caused your exposure and whether they can be held legally at fault before any compensation can be recovered.
